We are grateful for the opportunity to live, learn, work, and play on the land encompassed by Jasper National Park, and we humbly acknowledge that this park resides within the traditional territories of Treaty 6 and Treaty 8, as well as the ancestral lands of the Beaver, Cree, Ojibway, Secwépemc, Stoney, and Métis nations.

It is with deep respect that we recognize and honor the Indigenous peoples of these territories, expressing our gratitude for their unwavering stewardship of the land and their invaluable contributions to the development and prosperity of our park, Jasper province, and nation.

JASPER canoe memories from our guests...

“This was one of the highlights of our three week trip around Canada. The boat is lovely, comfortable, and with plenty of room (you can paddle as much or a little as you like).

The lake views are stunning and Mike is the perfect host. We met at the meeting point at Pyramid Lake - about 20 mins drive from Jasper. Once the safety procedures were dealt with and Mike had made sure we were comfortable we set sail across the lake. The far end of the lake has no open trails and so is free from humans.

Mike told us about the history of the lake and its surroundings and about the animals. We were lucky enough to see a Moose and calf which was thrilling. About halfway we stopped for tasty snacks and hot chocolate. Just a perfect time.”

“the best canoeing experience of my life.”
